Even though I checked measurements etc I still thought the extra large would be bigger so ended up having to order more

Not suitable for books. Even with only a dozen average-size hardback books, these boxes tear when they are lifted by the handling slots. It was necessary to reinforce the slots with several strips of heavy duty tape. As with the next size down, stacking the boxes four-high, often caused the bottom box to crumple. Most of the boxes arrived with minor damage, caused by poor shrink wrapping and/or handling in the factory or by the courier.
